memories

sorry for the bad quality of these photos.  i came across an old box and found these little photos i made many years ago in the place where charlotte used to live when we first met.  i totally loved that place, and every time i would visit something would have changed.  it was tiny, but perfect.  sometimes we still recall that place and than we are so worried they must have renovated it in a horrible way.  i feel sad not having more photos, or for not finding these negatives anymore..

she made this drawing of a bear for me, inspired by the candy-bear. i love it!

we had a nice afternoon, making photos together with a sweet little girl.

i love this book! i wanted to post this when there would be snow here, but it looks like it's not going to happen anymore...
anyway, it's from 1966 and it's beautifully printed.  a few more on flickr.

nellie mae rowe made beautiful paintings!  the first one is definitely my favourite!  she seemed like a funny lady, making dolls and turning her house in one big playlhouse.

grandma moses

 

grandma moses only started painting when she was 70 years old!  she made lots of paintings (more than 3600!), cause she became 101 years old so she had plenty of time to do so.  they are so beautiful!  apparently, hallmark used some of her work for postcards!  loving this portrait of her, and loved browsing her work!
