another birthday

the masters

so, i went to visit the ateliers of the 10 master students of the antwerp fashion academy. they made a nice 'magazine' out of it. i picked it up last night at the show and was excited to see how they put everything together.  i was a bit dissapointed they gave credits to 'mieke willems' instead of 'mieke verbijlen', but anyway, i will upload the photos bit by bit here and on my website, so you can get a closer look. (bigger on flickr already now!)

from today's visit

a tiny preview of the place i visited today.  it's the home of artist renate spee, who just recently finished a work on the floor of her atelier.  more photos soon on my website!

strange weather

the weather here is a bit scary. it's warm, but we have storm too, especially at night, with huge balls of hail... statying inside is the best thing to do.

summer

we had a hot day today, above 30 degrees. luckily the heat didn't come inside yet, it's nice to have a fresh home.  i've been moving around some furniture again.  the little doll is a present from andrea.

...and there are 4 (very small) photos i made in De Morgen magazine this weekend.  I went to visit the ateliers of the master students of the fashion academy from antwerp.  more about that soon, have to keep them secret for 1 more week :)

a blue room

finally finished.  thank you so much katrien for helping me out! i'm happy :) the plant i got from andrea, not sure what it is, but it sure is beautiful!!

that house is so inspiring. glad to have seen that famous wall with his collection of objects from all over the world in real life.
