calder in the hague





yesterday we visited the calder exhibition in the hague. it shows a lot of mobiles ofcourse (didn't make photos of them cause google is full of them). it also shows the influence of mondriaan (see 3rd photo, that's a paining by calder). and there were some fantastic photos from andré kertész. and ofcourse calder's circus was there, with a video and some of the creatures he made for it. if you haven't seen it yet, there are a lot of videos on youtube.
the exhibition still runs till the 28th of may, so you still have some time!

Looks great! i live next to a village where calder spent the end of his life. his house is truly beautiful and inspiring.

I love Calder. You should watch this documentary "Calder, sculpteur de l'air" (i did a post about it : http://homecollection.blogspot.com/2012/01/calder-sculpteur-de-lair.html ). Very inspiring.
